Science fiction , it is a popular topic among both the children and the elders; this creates the interest to come along with that. Nowadays lots and lots of books are been published in this topic. The style and language used in one book will not be the same as in the other. So to select a book for your child some considerations are to be taken care of.

1.When you start to select a book just turn it to the middle and checkout the comprehension used in the book. Then compare that with your children’s knowledge. Without considering this you will not be able to choose a book for your child.

2. You must think about the sensitivity of your child. Some children may dream of a monster while lying sleeping and some may not. This brings the difference between the children. Some may get afraid and some may not after reading certain books. So it is always better to see the sensitiveness of the child.

3. Decide the violent content of the book. The book contains aliens, monsters and some strange characters and these characters may be killed. So you are in a stage to decide the maturity level of your child, and the maturity level is to be considered in advance.

4. It is better to ask a librarian about the type of book you are about to buy. He may suggest some books with more fantasy things and with lots of fun. He may recommend some books or he could suggest some author names too.

5. Suggest the appropriate books for kids as they grow older. Suggesting books meant for kids will limit there knowledge and the level of knowledge of your child will only be kiddish when he grows older. Thus giving advance books and the books meant for the elders to read will let them to improve their knowledge.

6. The books from award winning companies and from the authors will fetch your child a lot of knowledge. Newbery and Caldecott award winner books will be more informative and this will gain your child knowledge.

7. Nowadays internet search for each and every product is available. It is better to move on to the internet search finally. Internet has lots and lot of books especially on science fiction topics. You may also gather some information regarding books from there.

What is anime? It is a Japanese animation that uses visual styles. Full anime movies are just like a normal movie in that they tell a story and have a main theme. But they are animated and they usually have very complex stories. They are known for having futuristic themes which are often mature. The number of characters is usually several and the visual style is highly emphasized.

There are even rare and hard to find anime. Even though everyone may not have heard of anime the oldest one known to exist was made in 1917. It is only a two minute clip; nonetheless it is considered the first one to have been screened. Called “An Obtuse Sword” this is the oldest one known to be in existence. Created as humorous, this anime tells the story of a samurai warrior who through trickery purchases a dull sword. The samurai tries to attack people he passes on the street to see if the sword is really dull. The tables are turned as the people living in the town retaliate and knock the samurai down.

From Japan to other markets, the expansion of anime did not really start until the 1960s. During the 1980s and 1990s anime turned into a major export as the full anime movies became quite popular. According to the Japan External Trade Organization anime in the U.S. is worth $4.35 billion. The world loves movies and anime is very popular when it comes to a different twist on the typical movie. One of the best full anime movies for the family is Spirited Away. Available in English, French and Japanese this movie is rated PG. The story revolves around a young girl that becomes trapped in the world of the spirits and must find her way out of this world. The story as well as the animation is superb and reviews of this anime are all thumbs up.

If you have never seen a full anime movie, you do not know what you are missing. The most common form of anime is known for exaggerating certain aspects of the physical appearance. Huge eyes, very long legs and arms and tall hair are the most common. The subject of the movie may have speech bubbles that are shaped strangely. Anime can be either drawn by hand or generated by a computer. Today computer anime is much more common especially for the full anime movies. Not only is anime used for movies but it is also used for video, commercials and even television – especially series of shows. There are many aspects that should alert you to the fact that you are watching anime if you are unaware of the fact. But the main thing you should do is sit back, relax and watch your first full anime movie.

Identity theft occurs when someone uses your personal information, usually without your knowledge and especially without your consent, to commit fraud or theft. Although this problems existed before the Internet or the extensive use of computers, these two have made it far more easier for skillful frauds to take advantage of others inability to detect such a criminal act and use people’s names, addresses, bank accounts, personal identification numbers or credit card information to commit unlawful acts. In fact, the problem of someone invading one’s privacy has greatly been examined over the years as extremely well-designed systems monitor others actions and report them to those interested in operating under another person’s identity.

Since such evil schemes are not a matter of science fiction anymore, it is possible for people to be caught into these highly skilled individuals’ nets and spend weeks of agonizing thoughts on where or how their personal information might have been used to harm others or themselves. For that reason, after a series of complaints from victims to financial institutions, banks have begun to check alleged frauds and claims that identity theft has taken place. With multiple incidents reported in the last five years of such malicious intent, users of computers and portable digital assistants have increased their demand to be offered the necessary security measures whenever they attempt to visit websites and need to report highly personal information online in order to purchase a product or service. But keeping yourself aware of such dangerous individuals is not enough. Due to the technologies evolving, one should frequently update the necessary security systems so as to minimize the stress associated with online navigation. Finally, avoiding publishing personal codes, passwords, credit card numbers and any other personal information, if not adequately reassured by trusted sources that possible threats can and will be detected, is considered a must in today’s vulnerable online environment. Be aware and be prepared.

Out of all the genres of books that have been written, science fiction seems to be one that is a class apart from all the others. The feeling towards the genre is either one of fanatic following and great enjoyment or extreme hatred. Those who have a natural penchant for unearthly objects and unsolved mysteries tend it would seem to get addicted at a relatively young age, which could be as young as 7 to 8 years. To appease the curiosity and desire to read more of such books, there are science fiction clubs that are formed where infatuated kids or teens can simply exchange books and videos of their favorite science fiction books and movies.

Given the growing popularity of these books every year sees a slew of new series and collections. If you are mesmerized by the concept of science fiction but have never tried reading one, then start with a small book. Skim through it before purchasing to determine whether it has a writing style that you like. The ones that are easy to read will prove to be more interesting since you are not likely to get too caught up with jargon that is incomprehensible.

There has generally been a tradition in which science fiction books have been written and this hasn’t really changed. There are however some authors who invent new styles of writing and it is common knowledge these are the ones who write science fiction books. This is probably because people who write science fiction books are so knowledgeable about their topic that they are able to write about the possible but also about the sometimes impossible situations and make them believable. Science Fiction writers have a completely different writing style which shows in their stories.

There are authors who wrote books about the most fearful things of their time – a good example is HG Wells. It is common knowledge of the panic caused by the reading of his book, War of the Worlds. It is easy to get completely engrossed in a science fiction book and believe what is written. HG Wells was a prime example of science fiction writing which was both realistic and believable, especially for the time. Telling a wild story just makes it more unbelievable – write your tall story in a believable way and include some truths to make it realistic.

Ray Bradbury is well known as the author of Fahrenheit 451 as well as being the best known science fiction writer in the world. Fahrenheit 451 is read across the country by high school students as part of their curriculum. He is also well known for writing abstract stories which aren’t able to be explained immediately. Many authors now use this form in their writing.

The world is full of people who excel in their particular fields. Many are able to leave a huge legacy behind which has a lasting effect on the whole world.

Japan is the home for many unique things and two which have become popular worldwide are Anime and Manga.

Manga, similar to western comic books, are unbelievably popular in today’s modern Japanese culture. Unlike American comic books which are targeted at children and teenagers, Japanese Manga is geared towards an adult audience although most appeals to all age groups.

Manga is unique to other types of comic books as the stories are usually deep and absorbing. These graphics and artwork are usually highly detailed and can have there own styles although they tend to stick to the standard Manga styles.

Anime is equivalent to western cartoons and many are in fact based on Manga although adapted for TV. Chobits and Cardcaptor Sakura created by CLAMP are both popular Manga which were then made into an Anime. Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh are examples of Anime which made its way outside Japan and became hugely popular.

Both Anime and Manga have their own distinctive styles which is characterised by large eyes which allow emotions to be clearly shown and generally only three colors for the skin tones; one each for the base color, shadows and highlights. Extra features such as “sweat drops” and veins appear to enhance the impact of emotions displayed.
